Boyd, Bruce L., age 78 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Grandview Medical Center. He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Michael Boyd, and his parents, Maxwell W. and Aileen (Cook) Boyd. He is survived by his wife, Marian “Suzie” (Haigler) Boyd, and by two children: Brian J. Boyd (daughter-in-law Angella) and Brenda Boyd (son-in-law Scott Ryan). Five grandchildren also survive him: Amber, Christian, Alexander, Nathan, and Kelly; as does a brother, Daryl J. Boyd, his wife Peggy Boyd, nephews Adam and Aaron, and lifelong best friend, Bob Bowman. Bruce was a man of many talents and worked at many different jobs in his day, including being a mechanic, musician, welder, and shrimp-boat captain.
A memorial service will be held at a future date.
