BAKER, Beverly L, of Xenia, moved to her permanent home on July 17, 2020 and is humbly and gratefully worshipping at the feet of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Beverly was an RN with the Kettering Health Network (ER and Home Care) and retired from the Greene County Board of Developmental Disabilities in 2016 as a Quality Assurance RN. She is survived by her family that she adored – daughter Samantha (Tony) Siemer, son dj Baker, and grandchildren Kyra, Maya, Makayla, Aryanna, Temple, Myles, Zoe and Pier. She also loves her emailing cousin Peggie Pitcher, oldest friend Ann McDonald, co-sharer of grandma stories Charlotte O’Meara, co-birthday friend Jill La Rock, spiritual encourager Denise Summerville, longest distance correspondent Melanie Whitesides and co-conspirator in mischievous fun Kris Keith.
Beverly was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012, but her philosophy was, “I have cancer, but cancer doesn’t have me.” Beverly held to the Apostle Paul’s teaching that to live is to be able to serve Christ on Earth and to die is to be able to be in Heaven with Christ. That is not “losing” but rather a win-win situation.
Beverly faithfully listened to online sermons from Dayton Avenue Baptist Church and Far Hills Church, attending when physically possible. She requested cremation and her ashes spread at sea. A celebration of her life will be held from 5pm – 6:30pm on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Tobias Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall RdThe family requests no flowers.
