Betty Jane Buryska Schaeffer

Schaeffer, Betty Jane, 78, of Beavercreek, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. She is preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Martha (Kubicek) Buryska, sister Sr. Eileen Buryska and a brother Robert Buryska. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Roy Schaeffer of Beavercreek; sons and daughters-in-law Scott and Diana Schaeffer of Oklahoma City, OK, Mark and Katie Schaeffer of Lakeside Park, KY, Steve and Tonya Schaeffer of Loveland, OH; sister Teresa Carey of Waunakee, WI; brothers Sylvester Buryska and David Buryska of Owatonna, MN; and grandchildren Miranda Schaeffer, Lucie Schaeffer and Piper Schaeffer. Betty volunteered with the Red Cross at WPAFB for 15 plus years and worked in federal civil service for many years. She enjoyed volunteering at the WPAFB hospital and figuring income taxes with VITA. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 PM Friday, October 17, 2014 at St. Luke Catholic Church, St. Dominic’s Chapel, 1440 N. Fairfield Rd. Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery.
