Betty E Kreitzer, age 77, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024. Preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Roger Kreitzer, parents Raymond and Alberta Miller and sister Janice Webster. Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Betty was a graduate of Belmont High School and Wright State University. Betty retired in 2007 from the Wright Patterson Air Force Base after 28 years of service. Avid tennis player, Betty was inducted into the Dayton Tennis Commission Hall of Fame in 1995. Her tennis achievements include winning 4.5 Level USTA National Championship in 1980 as a singles player. Faithful Christian, was a member of Belmont United Methodist Church and Homebuilders Sunday School. As a breast cancer survivor and living with Multiple Sclerosis, Betty never let these barriers define her and the way she lived life. The biggest joy in life to Betty was spending time with her grandchildren, playing euchre, watching tennis, working puzzles and spending time with her close friends Dot, Nancy and Gloria.
Betty is survived by her daughters: Cindy (Jason)Vollmer of Springboro, Ohio and Karen (Jeff) Allen of Charlotte, North Carolina, grandchildren Katie Vollmer, Megan Vollmer and Rachel Allen. In addition to sister Virginia Johnson, Betty had nieces and nephews Debbie & Evan Dolley, Michael & Sue Webster, Kimila Kercheville, and William Johnson III.
A graveside service for Betty will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Mount Zion Shoup Cemetery, 30 South Fairfield Road, Beavercreek, Ohio, with Pastor David Tackett officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Betty's memory to Hospice of Dayton.
