Betty J. Kraft, age 86 of Beavercreek, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Butch” Kraft in 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Grace and George Howard, and brother Edward Howard. She is survived by five children: Charles “Butch” (Christine) Kraft of Beavercreek, George “Bud” (Marylynn) Kraft of KY, Howard “Mick” (Robin) Kraft of Centerville, Gary Kraft of Dayton, and Grace (Dan) Christiansen of Centerville. Nine grandchildren also survive her: Charles “Chuck” (Amelia) Kraft of CO, Nicole (Brad) Elias of KY, Amy (Ryan) Beauchamp of Beavercreek, Julie (John Tye) Kraft of Centerville, Brandon Kraft of KY, Phillip Kraft of KY, Natalie (Nate) Arnett of CO, Angela (Jeremy) Hummer of FL, and Kyle Christiansen of Dayton, as do thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Dorothy Howard, and numerous treasured nieces, nephews, relatives, and many dear friends. A deeply loving and giving person by nature, Betty placed her family above all else. She made time to improve the lives of others as well, serving 20 years as a volunteer for MDA; she was past president of the Ohio Grandmother’s Club and a member of the Lots of Love Sewing Club. She also loved to dance and have a great time. Her love and enthusiasm were infectious. Friends may call at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 10 AM until 1 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Greg Konorman at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 830 Bowen St., at 2 PM on Saturday, November 24. Entombment will be held privately.
