Bette J. Rizzo of Dayton, and recently Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on October 12, 2018 at The Grand long-term care facility, in the company of her children. She was preceded in death by her son Timothy, and by her husband of sixty-four years, Paul R. Rizzo. Nana will be forever missed by her immediate and extended family. Nana enjoyed traveling to all of the 50 states and many foreign lands with her husband, as a member of the Friendship Force, but she treasured her family above all else. Her six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren brought a sparkle to her eyes and were her particular joy. Nana left us all with a lifetime of smiles and great memories. Bette is survived by her daughter Kathleen Elliott (Harold “Chip”), her son Paul R. Rizzo Jr. (Bonnie); her grandchildren Nicole Mihelich, Shannon Tattersall (Robert), Ryan Elliott (Karly), Natalie Specht, Paul R. Rizzo III (Lauren), and Danielle Brothers (Justin) as well as her great-grandchildren Megan and Allyson Mihelich, Robert and Ryan Tattersall, Juliana and Alexandrea Specht, Jorden and William McGuffie, and Pax Rizzo. The family will receive friends at Tobias Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, OH 45429 on Friday, October 26, from 4 until 7 PM. A funeral mass will be held the following day at 10:30 AM at The Church of the Incarnation, 55 Williamsburg Lane, Dayton, Ohio 45459.
