Beatrice Schultz Smart was born to Elmer and Elanor (Mausch) Schultz September 4th, 1928, in Dayton, Ohio. Beatrice, or Bea as many knew her, celebrated 92 years of life before being called home by the Lord on May 1st, 2021.
Beatrice attended Stivers High School in Dayton, Ohio and later met the love of her life Charles Russel Smart. Beatrice and Charles were married on April 28th, 1946. A member of Aley United Methodist Church, Beatrice raised her family with Charles to know the Lord. Beatrice loved the Lord and shared her faith with all she met. Steadfast in her faith, Beatrice served as a witness to others.
Beatrice loved camping, fishing, and waterskiing on her numerous trips up north with her family, A tradition that has been handed down to her children and their children. Beatrice was also known as quite the cook, she loved baking and decorating numerous treats which she would share with family and friends. It was not uncommon for Beatrice to offer to feed any visitor one of her famous hamburgers, which she seemed to always have on hand, or her grandson’s entire college fraternity breakfast with no more than a days’ notice. Beatrice worked at JC Penny’s for 10 Years before retiring to spend time with Family and friends.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her Husband Charles, whom she has now been reunited with.
Beatrice is survived by her: Son and Daughter-in-Law James and Judy Smart, Daughter Linda Jones, Debbie and Dennis Henry, her Sister Evelyn Siler, her eight Grandchildren, ten Great Grand Children, and one Great Great Grandson.

The family will receive friends at the Tobias Beavercreek Funeral Home on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. A Funeral Service with Pastor Ryan Abbott officiating begins at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Aley Cemetery. Social Distancing and Facemasks required for the Visitation and Funeral Service.
