Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in Christ at Bethany Village, Kettering, OH, on December 31, 2024, at the age of 97. Born June 12,1927 in Middletown, Ohio, Barb graduated from Middletown High School and attended Miami University. She worked for TWA and later did clerical work in general offices at ARMCO in Middletown.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Marguerite (nee Post) Keiser, first husband and father of her two children, Charles D. Stamp, second husband Negley J. Cribbs, sister Marian (nee Keiser) Ziegler (Fred) and two brothers John “Jack” Keiser (Eileen) and Richard “Dick” Keiser (Doris).
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter Cynthia (nee Stamp) Miller (Stanton), son Donald Stamp (Sharen), 6 grandchildren: Ryan Stamp (Michelle), Daniel Stamp (Kristine), Kyle Mathues (Halle), and Brennen Mathues, 5 great-grandchildren: Addison and Silas Stamp, Saylor Stamp, Yhuley and Jaina Mathues, and dear friend Pamela (nee Patrie) Flanagan.
In school Barb loved Archery and Riding Horses. Even through adversity as a single mom she gave her daughter ballet and piano lessons. She never missed her son’s little league games or daughters track meets. She was a home room mom and girl scout leader.
Married in 1966, she and husband Negley took their children and grandchildren to Hilton Head Island, SC every spring; their magic place where they made wonderful memories and watched the children swim, fish, parasail, catamaran with dolphins and crab in Port Royal Sound. In the fall, they all hiked in the woods and enjoyed outdoor family breakfasts.
Barb and Neg served their community at St. George’s Episcopal Church, teaching Sunday School and working garage sales, cooking and serving food for St. Vincent de Paul. They served meals on wheels. Barb’s name is on a plaque in the main hallway of Kettering Medical Center for 40,000 hrs. of volunteer service. She was an avid reader. Barbara cherished her family above all else. She brought joy and comfort to all she met, leaving a lasting impression with her gentle spirit and generous nature.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2025. Family and friends will be notified. The Family kindly requests donations be made to Hospice at Bethany Village. The family thanks all who cared for her there.
Barb lived a life of grace, hope, love, and giving. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered. Care entrusted to Tobias Funeral Home, Far Hills. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.tobiasfuneralhome.com.
