Preceded in death by; father Richard Hopkins; mother JoAnne Hopkins; sisters Karen Christy and Kim Leggett; and soulmate Roger Reynolds.
Annette leaves behind numerous friends and family to cherish her memory; daughter Emily Johnson, husband Deron Johnson, sisters Vangela Geis, Valarie Gilbert, Venetia Clyburn (Bill), and best friend & sister Aimee Brewer. Brothers Vincent Hopkins (Julie), Richard Hopkins (Kristin), and Stephen Hopkins (Dawn). Also mourning her loss are close friends Kimberly Crawford-Parnell, Jill Ginter, Tracey Bowman, Melissa Hapner, Nancy Brooks, and Debbie Kracus.
Annette opened her heart to two stepchildren, Kelsey Reynolds and Jena Reynolds, as well as the lives of her grandchildren, Remington and Aspen. She showed all genuine love, and she was thrilled to be a part of their lives.
Annette also leaves behind more than 20 nieces and nephews.
Annette was born April 8, 1968, the seventh of eight children. With six older siblings, Annette learned early in life how to get along with others, how to advocate for herself, and how to compromise when necessary.
Annette was a person who made friends easily, and a person who held those friendships close to her heart. She was a talented artist, smart, quick to find the humor in a situation, and someone who believed in and rooted for the underdog.
Those who loved her are saddened at the loss of such a bright light, but profoundly grateful for the opportunity to stand in her light and watch her shine.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the Parkview Church of the Nazarene, 4701 Far Hills Avenue. Meet the family will begin at noon followed by a Memorial Service starting at 1 pm.
