From the first day I met my future Mother In Law, her kindness, empathy and humour shone.
When they returned to America after retiring in Australia I missed her unfailing patience and advice.
Her love and patience was there when she reared an orphan Red Kangaroo Joey, named Fred! He became a very healthy adult Big Red and was settled at a kangaroo Sanctuary North of Perth Western Australia. The first time we all visited him, he looked up when she called out to him and he bounded over. It was so lovely.
I will remember and Cherish  every memory and lesson learned by your example, Ruby.

My sincere thoughts , prayers and condolences are with Willie Sr., Willie Jr., Eunice, Larry and Anna and all the grandchildren..  Ruby will be dearly missed by all.

Ruby was the first friend I made when I moved to Sacramento in 1957.  We remained friends for all the years since.  There wasn't anyone who made friends easier than Ruby.  We were able to stay in touch with one another through her many moves in the US and to/from Australia.   I will miss our phone calls - our recounting of fond memories and laughs!
