Passed away on November 27, 2011 in Davenport, WA. He was born on May 14, 1923 in Richey, Montana to Ed and Minnie Johnson. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the Davenport Sr. Center. Ernie enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports on TV, woodworking, traveling and camping. He worked in the mines in Montana in his early years. He is survived by his two step children, Gaymond Schultz of Los Altos Hills, CA and Pam and Dennis Bechtold of Elk, WA, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elma in 1994, 2 brothers, and one sister. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport, WA. Pastor Jim Sterns will officiate.
