Winifred M. “Maxine” Hoffman, 92, of Davenport, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at Genesis East Medical Center. Following cremation, a private family service will be held. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com
Maxine was born March 1, 1922 in Stanwood, Iowa, the daughter of Franz and Bertha (Eckland) Dettman. She was united in marriage to Melvin B. Hoffman on August 21, 1974 in Davenport; he preceded her in death on July 15, 2005.
Surviving are nieces and nephews, including Gregg Carlstrom, Doug Carlstrom, Vicky Buck, Jackie Brenner and Robin Buechel and several great and great great nieces and nephews. In addition to husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Betty Carlstrom and brothers, Dale and Delbert Dettman.
