Vikki L. McDermott

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made in her honor to Genesis Hospice.

Vikki was born on December 27, 1952 to Harris and Nadine (Miller) Roehlk in Davenport, IA. She had a strong work ethic and would tell you exactly how it is! She was employed as a secretary for McDermott Concrete and worked as a cleaning lady for many years.

Vikki was very caring and always ready to help others. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was so proud of them and loved sharing stories.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Shawn (Jenny) McDermott and Chad McDermott; grandchildren, Maddy, Will, and Gavin; siblings, Ron (Roberta) Roehlk, Judy Harris, and Scott (Tammy) Roehlk; along with many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and finally reunited with her husband, Robert “P-nut” McDermott.
