Travis Christopher Leigh

Travis C. Leigh, 47, of Davenport, IA passed away on January 31, 2023 at his home. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.

Travis was born on March 29, 1975 in Davenport to Dwain and Cheryl (Jones) Leigh. He graduated from North Scott High School in 1993. Travis worked as an arborist for 25 years for the City of Davenport. Travis played lead guitar for the band So Far Gone. He was a very talented artist and was learning the craft of designing tattoos. Travis was a social person and enjoyed being around people, this included going to heavy metal concerts. He was also an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and camping.

Survivors include his son, Keenan Leigh of Davenport; his mother, Cheryl Leigh of Eldridge; brothers, Justin Brabham, Michael Besco both of Eldridge; grandmother, Dee Grossman and Keenan’s mother, Samantha Wheeler of Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Jim and Donna Leigh and Betty and Michael Grossman and Shirley and Robert T. Jones.
