Tiney was born to the late Maurice Gunnoe, August 19th, 1949 in Glen Rogers, West Virginia. Tiney retired from Roadway Express Inc, after 25+ years of employment and was a veteran of the United States Army where he honorably served in Intelligence as an interrogator in Viet Nam.
Tiney loved his Chicago Cubs and Kanas City Chiefs. Tiney loved fishing with his son and was a lover of country music. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for his family.
Tiney is survived by his sister, Drema Ekin; child: Matthew Pena, of Salt Lake City, UT; grandchildren, Audria Stiles of Zionsville, IN; Katelynn Peña, Titus Pena, and Rosalie Pena of Salt Lake City, UT; great-grandchildren, Elayna Stiles of Zionsville, IN and Nova Ortega of Salt Lake City, UT.
Tiney requested private services. However, a celebration of his life will be announced and held in the future by his son, Matthew.
