

Terri Francis-Horton, 55, of Davenport, passed away after a long, hard-fought battle with ovarian cancer on Thursday, October 25, 2012 in Davenport. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the Norma Jean Foundation for Ovarian Cancer Research or to the Scott County Humane Society. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com Terri was born December 18, 1956 in Davenport, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Loder) Francis. She was formerly married to Charles F. Horton, Jr. of Davenport.Terri worked for twenty years at Community Action of Eastern Iowa, most recently as a receptionist. She was an animal lover, especially cats; and enjoyed watching cooking shows and reading. God was Terri’s higher power and she had a deep and strong faith. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.Those left to honor her memory include her children: Stephanie (James) Fisher, LeClaire, IA; Charles E.F. Horton, Jr., Davenport; Stacey Horton and Melissa Reyes, both of Davenport; grandchildren: Zachary Francis, Matthew Fisher, Lilliana Smith and Salissya Gambleton; siblings: Barb Quinn, Davenport; William E. (Bonnie) Francis, Coal Valley, IL, Raymond Francis, Silvis, IL and Richard Francis, Loves Park, IL and her beloved cats: Kayla, Lucas, Sasha, Abel and Kana and her dog, Molly. Her parents preceded her in death.
