Suzan Jean Holmes

Suzan J. Holmes, 77, of Davenport, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 in Hammond, Indiana. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1pm at Weerts Funeral Home, Jersey Ridge and Kimberly Road. Family will greet friends before the service starting at 11am at Weerts Funeral Home. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park following the funeral service. Memorials in Suzan’s name may be made to the family.

Suzan was born in 1941 to Charles and Manolia Berard in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Davenport High School in 1959. On June 22, 1963 she was united in marriage to Ezell Holmes, they later divorced. Suzan worked at Alcoa for 32 years doing data entry before retiring in 1993. She loved playing cards, dominos, and bingo with her family and friends. She also loved to go fishing. Suzan loved her family very much and her two grandsons were her pride and joy.

Suzan is survived by her daughter Tana Webster; two grandchildren Marques and Antonio Webster; her sister Judith (Robert) Guinn; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Virginia France and her brother Kenneth Berard.
