Steven “Steve” A. Edmunds, 67 of Atkins, formerly of Fort Mitchell, AL passed away on November 29, 2022 at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House. Visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Weerts Funeral Home on Sunday, December 4, 2022. Cremation will follow. Steve was born on August 8, 1955 in Shreveport, LA to Al and JoAnn (Sibley) Edmunds. He was united in marriage to Karen Stamm on August 23, 1999 in Baton Rouge, LA. Steve worked for Westrock Mahrt Mill in Cottonton, AL as a maintenance mechanic for 20 years. His co-workers affectionately referred to him as “Rock.” He was an avid LSU football fan and enjoyed watching the history channel and he enjoyed playing poker. He was an animal lover with his yorkies being his favorite.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; children, Brian (Becky) White, Theresa (Phillip) Eastman, Ali Edmunds Riddle, AJ Edmunds; daughter in law, Corina Galbraith, seventeen grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren; two brothers, Mike (Debbie) Edmunds and Randy (Beth) Edmunds.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kevin Galbraith and one grandson, Gabriel White.
