Steve was born on June 23, 1952 in Davenport, IA to Wilford & Patricia (Smull) King. Prior to retirement, he was employed at Oscar Mayer. He was united in marriage to Barbara Lawton on December 22, 2007 in Davenport. They shared 15+ years together before her passing in 2023.
Those left to cherish his memory include siblings, Robert “Bob” King, Libby (King) McChesney-Pate, Martha (King) Manning, and Dan King.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Terry King and Joe King.
