Roger D. Dengler, 61, of Davenport passed away February 28, 2017 at Genesis East, Davenport. A burial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Davenport Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, Friday at the Runge Mortuary. Roger was born September 22, 1955 in Davenport, a son of Edwin and Bonetta Dengler. He graduated from Davenport West High School in 1973 and was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, boating, lawn care and was an avid Hawkeye fan.
Survivors include his children: Carri Lynne (Gabriel) Rios, Elizabeth Ann (Arturo) Mendoza, Lucas Graham Dengler and Shawnee (James) Pepper, grandchildren: Austin and Aubrey Rios, Arturo and Ema Mendoza, Nate and Brody Pepper; siblings: Marlene DeSchepper, Sandra (Wes) Moeller, Shirley (Paul) Schaab, Eugene (Georgianna) Dengler, Ken (Lynn) Dengler, Debbie (Dan) Dooley and Stanley Dengler.
