Robert Harold Shuda

Services will be Monday, February 27, 2023 at 2 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Monday from 12 pm until 2 pm at the mortuary. His final resting place will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may go to Quad City Animal Welfare Center or the American Cancer Society. Bob was born April 29, 1942 in Davenport. He was the son of Harold and Marian (Kolloff) Shuda. He married Dian K. Shoemaker on May 5, 1962 in Davenport. She preceded him in death on November 4, 2020.

Bob worked for several area businesses including Farmall, Container Corporation, and Illinois Bell Telephone Company, later AT&T, prior to retiring in 1998. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved taking rides in his classic cars, going on snowmobiling trips, and spending time at the family cabin on the backwaters of the Mississippi. He enjoyed restoring antique outboard motors and boats. Bob was also a member of the Antique Outboard Motor Club.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Tony Shuda, Rock Island, daughter, Melissa (William) Schmacht, Kingman, AZ, grandchildren: Kole (Lauren) Shuda, Abby Schmacht, Arry Schmacht and Avvy Schmacht; family friends: Tamika Robinson, Jazmine Foster, and her children Demarcus, Janae, and Jazyra Rogers.

In addition to his wife and parents, Bob was preceded in death by a son, Kurtis Shuda.
