Ralph Adams Parry

Ralph A. Parry, 91, of Bettendorf, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at The Fountains Assisted Living. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 4:30 to 6:00pm at Cunnick Collins Life Celebration Center, 1200 E 39th Street, Davenport. Memorials may be left to the Riverdale Fire Department or the American Heart Association. Ralph chose to donate his body for medical research at the University of Iowa. Ralph was born on December 28, 1932 in Belle Plain, Iowa to Clifford and Florence (Adams) Parry. He was united in marriage to Rose (Wessel) Parry on September 20, 1957 in Davenport and they spent 65 years together. Rosie preceded him in death on July 31, 2023. Ralph received his Bachelors from the University of Northern Iowa and owned his own insurance agency for many years before retiring in 1995. Ralph served in the Army and was a volunteer firefighter for the city of Riverdale for many years.

Ralph enjoyed many summer days with family boating the Mississippi, working in his yard and taking family trips to Florida. He also enjoyed sports cars and owned a motorcycle shop.

Survivors include his children, Kent Parry and Paul (Janelle) Parry both of Bettendorf; granddaughters, Kayla (Chance) of Mount Vernon, IA and Ashley of Davenport, IA; and sister, Joy Sires.

Ralph was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rosie, parents, and brother, Robert Parry.
