Penny M. Wyatt, 48, of Davenport, IA, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020, at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport. A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 p.m. noon, Friday, January 24, 2020, at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Penny was born December 8, 1971, to Duane and Barbara Emerson in Davenport. She married Darin Wyatt and were later divorced; but remained good friends over the years. Penny was employed by Hungry Hobo for over 17 years, and also worked at Oscar Meyer during six of those years. She was most recently employed at John Deere as a forklift operator for 11 years. In her free time, Penny enjoyed fishing, coloring to relax, and fun trips to the casino with her family. She referred to herself as “Zulu.” Penny was a loving and caring person, touching many lives over the years. Every day for many years, she sent a different scripture to family and friends, spreading the word of God.
Penny is survived by her children, Audria Emerson, Ashley Wyatt, Ranissa Wyatt, Robert Thomas; four grandchildren: Mylea, Robert, Zariya, Sir Anthony, as well as twin grandchildren on the way; four siblings: Mary Ramirez, Ronald and Olga Miller, Allison Johnson, Judy McGill; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Welch; siblings, John Miller, Creighton Miller, Kim Miller; and her loving dog, Zach.
