Paula Kay Williamson, 50, of Blue Grass, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at home. A memorial service will be held at Community Fellowship Church, 701 Oak Lane in Blue Grass on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 6:00 PM. Fellowship meal will follow.
Per her request, cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be at a later date in Rock Island National Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.
Paula was born February 13, 1964 in Davenport; the daughter of Paul and Sharon (Nichols) Hauger. She served in the Navy from 1986 until 2006. After retiring from the Navy, Paula got involved in motorcycle safety at San Diego Harley Davidson. She was united in marriage to Joe Williamson on September 23, 2006 in Davenport. They moved to Blue Grass in 2013 where she worked for Harley Davidson Motor Company.
She was active in the Blue Grass American Legion #711 and enjoyed horses as well as motorcycles. She was an elected officer in the Quad Cities All-Breed Horseman Association (QCAHA) and was a member of the Illowa HOG (Harley Owners Group) Chapter.
Those left to honor her memory include her loving husband, Joe; step-children: Yolanda (Jesse) Kroner, Decatur, Alabama and Forrest (Sarah) Williamson, Germany, currently serving in the US Army; her father, Paul D. Hauger, Davenport; grandmother, Gladys Marie Hauger, Davenport; brother, Joseph Paul Hauger, Henderson, Nev; three nieces, two nephews and two Godchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon and a grandfather, Paul Q. Hauger.
