Patrick “Pat” Vaughn, 71, of Davenport, Iowa; passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 28, 2022. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 10 AM at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 4 – 7:30pm at Weerts Funeral Home. Burial will be after the service at Oakdale Memorial Gardens. Memorials in Pat’s name may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or to the Oak Hills Gun Club.
Pat was born on April 5, 1950 to Charles and Harriet Vaughn in McGregor, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Lisa Largent on August 14, 1984. Pat worked for Oscar Mayer Kraft Foods for 34 years, retiring in 2000. Pat was very much an outdoorsman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed time spent in the garden. Whenever he could, Pat was spending time with his family and friends; he especially loved to watch his grandchildren play sports. Pat and Lisa loved to go on various road trips across the United States in their mini van “Black Betty”. He was Lisa’s biggest cheerleader and supporter at her races; he volunteered at the Beer Tent for the Firecracker Run and for the Freedom Run. Pat was a member of the QC Bass Club, Davenport Valley Archers, Oak Hills Gun Club, and the NRA.
Pat is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lisa; son Jason Morales; grandchildren Taylor, Cru, Silas, Lucy, and Julian; siblings: Jesse (Judy) Vaughn, Linda Baker, Danny (Dorothy) Vaughn, and Mike (Mary) Vaughn; sister-in-law Terri (Kevin) DeRoin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Charlene Ihde and Larry Vaughn.
