They relocated to Bettendorf, IA where she was a stay at home mom, focused on her boys, until she went back to teaching for the Bettendorf and Davenport Public School system in the late 1980’s. While teaching, she worked on her PhD at St. Ambrose University. She went on to teach for 23 years until her retirement.
