Nancy Jo Teel, 73, a resident of Good Samaritan, Davenport, Iowa passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Genesis Medical Center, East after a brief illness. Nancy was born in Walnut, Illinois to the late Ross James and Ruth Angeline Wallace. She graduated from Davenport High. She married the late Dennis Peters. They later divorced and she married the late Donald Teel in December 1987. Nancy, along with Don, had owned and operated the Hawkeye Tap for over 15 years before selling the business. For many years Nancy also helped prepare taxes and did bookkeeping for local area businesses. She enjoyed craftwork, RVing, trips to the casino and most importantly, time with her family. She was an excellent cook. Nancy is survived by three children: Greg (Ginny) Peters of Port Byron, IL, Gary Peters of Davenport, and Sherri (Bryan) Johnson of Davenport; grandchildren: Makaila Peters (Chris Burger), Brice (Aubrey) Peters, Garrett Peters, Maddie Peters, Allison Johnson, Sarah Johnson and Molli Johnson and great grandchildren: Ben Peters and Cooper Klaman. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Anna Johnson. Visitation will be held at the Runge Mortuary on Monday, December 1, 2014 from 4-7 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel with burial immediately following at Davenport Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.
