Mary attended Willard Elementary School, John Deere Junior High, and Moline High School, graduating in 1962. After graduation, Mary worked as an administrative assistant at Ametek Inc. After being a stay-at-home mom for many years, Mary worked as an orthodontic office receptionist and as an orthodontic lab technician.
Mary enjoyed working outside in her beautiful yard and reading all kinds of books. She was also active golfing with George in her later years. Mary loved music and was usually the first one on the dance floor! She was a devoted Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers, Iowa Hawkeyes and Bettendorf Bulldogs fan. There was nothing Mary loved more though, than watching her grandkids play sports and do other activities. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Mary was very social and never met a stranger! She enjoyed spending time at Sports Fans in Bettendorf with her friends and family. Mary had dear lifelong friends. She got together with her “club” friends every month for about 60 years. Mary and George enjoyed hosting many family holiday dinners and cookouts. Mary set a beautiful table and she cooked amazing dinners. She loved to entertain.
