Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the mortuary. He will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1122 W. Marvin was born a son of John and Annie (Schreck) Noll on November 23, 1928 in Davenport. He was united in marriage to Mildred J. Howell on October 1, 1949 in Davenport. He was co-owner of S&N Royal Blue Market, with Harry Shannon. After leaving the grocery business he worked with Crescent Baking and Northwest Bank.
Marvin was a longtime member of the Iowa Grocers Association and was on the country school #6 reunion committee. He enjoyed working in the yard and raising vegetables in his garden. He was also an avid sports fan and followed all auto racing, Chicago Cubs, Iowa Hawkeyes and Iowa State Cyclones. Marvin enjoyed playing cards and belonged to several poker and euchre clubs, and was a longstanding member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 70 years, Milly; sons, Roger (Paula) Noll of Cabot, Arkansas, Rick (Tammy) Noll of Davenport, Iowa and John (Gina) Noll of Clive, Iowa; and granddaughters, Annie and Elizabeth Noll.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vera, Helen and Nora; and brother, Elmer.
