Marsha Ann Damushes

Funeral services will be 12:00pm Monday, July 22, 2024 at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory. Visitation will be 10:00am to 12:00pm Monday prior to the service at the mortuary. Memorials in Marsha’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.rungemortuary.com.

Marsha was born October 12, 1942 in Davenport, IA to Marshall & Agnes (Benck) Thompson. She was united in marriage to John Damushes on November 12, 1966 in Rock Island, IL.

Marsha was a very caring big hearted person who had a happiness which spread to everyone around her. Family was her first love as she raised her 4 children and was active with them in Scouting, School PTA, Welcome Wagon, and many other activities as they grew up. She enjoyed spending time with extend family & friends camping and playing cards. She was always willing to help if someone needed anything.

Survivors include her husband John Damushes; 3 sons John W. (Rhonda) Damushes Jr., Robert Jackson, & Jason Damushes; 1 daughter Lynn Damushes; grandchildren Misty, Lindsey, Mary, Katie, Eric, Xavier, & Miranda; great grandchildren Declan, Drake, Nolan, Kinzlee, Charlotte, & Caleb; and a sister Phyllis Alden.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, sister Karen Thompson & 2 brother Robert & Wilford Thompson.
