Mark O. Bird, 52, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 following a brief illness. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, June 17, 2013 at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. He served in Operation Desert Storm in the United States Army. His hobbies included NASCAR and golfing. He was an avid Hawkeye fan, had a natural green thumb and was known for his big smile.
Survivors include his mother, Della Bird; siblings and spouses, Randy and Patty Bird, Rick and Patty Bird, Debbie and Rick Land, Lori and Dan Bingham, Joni and Keith Chandler and Todd Bird; and lots of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin O. Bird.
