Maria Ann Lodwig

Marie was born August 10th, 1954 in Globe, AZ to Harold and Wilma (Jenkins) Palmer. Marie graduated from Central High School in Davenport, IA in 1972 and briefly served in the United States Marines before starting a family with her husband of 17 years, Gary Lodwig. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and a passionate caregiver for the elderly for 15 years before retiring. Beyond her calling as a CNA, she enjoyed caring for her dogs, gardening, canning, thrifting, and cooking amazing meals for her family.

Marie is survived by her children, Sean Palmer (father, Rodney Kuhnau) and partner, Renee Izer, Jason Lodwig, Tammy Lodwig and partner, Ryan Soucie, and Karen Kinney and husband, Josh Kinney; her sisters, Sharon Clemons and Nellie Palmer; brothers, Raymond Palmer and Russell Palmer; grandchildren, Justin, Lyam, Jayden, and Alan; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her partner of 19 years, Kurt Krueger; sisters, Karen and Virgina; her brother, Fay; and her parents, Harold and Wilma Palmer.

Marie’s bright, enduring light and selflessness knew no bounds and extended far beyond the reach of her immediate family. Her warmth will be missed greatly.
