Cremation will be done with a memorial service to be held 11:00AM Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the National Cemetery Rock Island, IL where internment of ashes will follow. Friends may meet at the Runge Mortuary at 10:15am Wednesday to process to the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Harvey Klindt Scholarship Fund American Legion Post #26 Davenport, St Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church Davenport, or Mississippi Valley WAVES Unit #5. Margaret was born August 1, 1922 in Davenport to Walter & Anna Marie (Specht) Voss. She served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict retiring as a Petty Officer. She went on to work as an Orthodontic Tech at Dr. James Burney’s office in Davenport for 21 years. She then worked for Brown Dental Lab Davenport until her retirement.

Margaret was a member of St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church Davenport, American Legion Post #26, the Northwest Turners, the Rebekah Lodge #256 E. Moline, IL, and the Patriarch Militant, Monmouth, IL.

Survivors include a niece Joan (Tom) Kloster, Princeton, IL, a nephew Walter (Mary) Carlson, Colona, IL, & numerous great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Madeline Carlson in 2005.
