Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Runge Mortuary. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2024, in the Runge Mortuary. Committal Ceremony will follow at the Davenport Memorial Chapel with a Remembrance Gathering at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church immediately following.
Loretta was born August 23, 1926, to John Frank Saldana (Juan Francisco Saldana) and Josephine Zyddons Saldana in Rockford, Illinois, after which her family moved to Centerville, Iowa, where her family raised her and her siblings, John, Paul, Edward, Daniel, Frances, Pauline, Agnes and Helen.
Loretta worked in Centerville at Mercy Hospital as a nurses’ aid and caregiver. She was a devout Roman Catholic, loving wife to William (Bill) Thomas Kelley, a dedicated sister and a lifelong caregiver to her disabled brother Daniel. Although Loretta never had children of her own, she loved all her many nieces and nephews as such.
Loretta wishes to be remembered as a servant to God who strived to live her life by the Bible, and understood God had preplanned her destiny.
