Rest in peace,  my friend.   I miss our friendship and long talks together.

Lloyd was a great friend and he will be missed for a long time.
I still remember his soft voice explaining his opinion on projects we worked together.  He was a very kinds and smart friend.  I hope he is in Heaven giving suggestions to our Lord on how to solve the world problems.   That would be a sight to see Lloyd giving his opinion to the Lord.  May the Lord keep him forever by his side.

I considered Lloyd one of my best friends . He was an amazing analytical engineer. And a devoted Christian man.

Coming into harvester works he brought a wealth of knowledge on sheet metal construction. The combines had to have a special tire designed in order to  support the weight of a larger grain tank capacity and engine/transmission increase in power.  Lloyd knew how to take advantage with his aircraft background to build a support structure with more strength and less weight. A significant advantage to have such an engineer at John Deere.

Lloyd also had a teaching ability to develop many young engineers. He was definitely the go to guy for major problems. 

I remember when combines were about to be shipped to the Ukraine . And it was discovered that some of the metal was below specifications. Lloyd was the one who could decide if the material could be used.

Lloyd and I shared many Christian faith conversations. And especially after he retired and went through medical concerns with his wife and himself.

 Continued ...I am so very sorry that I was not present at the memorial visitation service as I just returned from an out of town trip.  My most sincere sympathy to Ryan, Brad, Lloyd Jr., Tatyana, and family.

My husband and I first met Lloyd 20 years ago as he was serving as a deacon at First Evangelical Free Church.  Lloyd had a gentle and kind spirit and helped us work toward a peaceful solution  in a difficult  situation. We became friends.  Later  my husband and I would visit with Lloyd as he was homebound in carrying for his Dorothy. We would hope to encourage them but most often Lloyd would encourage us according to God's promises. We watched Lloyd care for Dorothy alongside Tatyana with compassion and grace and enduring, deep love. Often he would speak about his sons Ryan, Brad, and Lloyd Jr. and grandkids. Though he would express sadness and sometimes cry in the later years that he saw them so seldom, he always spoke of them with love and grace. We observed that having Tatyana there with him was a tremendous mutual blessing for each of them. Tatyana could make him laugh when he was hurting, she had enduring patience for him as he slowed down these last 2 years, and they shared the promises of God together daily which lifted their hearts. Tatyana was God's gift to Lloyd and Dorothy, an affirmation of God's love and care for them this last season of life.  I will forever be grateful for how Lloyd ministered to my heart when my young 63 year old husband died suddenly 3 years ago. Both of them came to be with us on that very hard day. Lloyd's faith and faithfulness which I had observed when he lost his beloved Dorothy helped me to endure in my own loss and sorrow. I visited Lloyd only a couple weeks before he went to his forever home in the hospital. Tatyana was there also and I watched her patiently feed him and comfort him as he was confused after his stroke. Only later did I discover that I was not suppose to have been allowed to see Lloyd because it was limited to only one visitor a day.  I followed the hospital protocal and was allowed to visit by mistake I guess but I believe it was God's will. I was able to share 1 Peter 1:3- 9 and we prayed together. 

Lloyd was a kind. gentle genuine person and competent sklilled engineer and  mentor and asset to his family, Church, company  and community.  I will remember the often enjoyed visits at church with him.
He will be missed. 

Dear Family, I was a coworker of Lloyd’s at Deere Combine Engineering in Silvis, and as a young  design engineer, I learned from Lloyd about FEA and analysis in general in the early stages of digital mechanical analysis. Lloyd was always very patient and helpful to everyone, especially the young engineers. He was just wonderful to work with.
I happen to be in Biaggi’s when he was there with his wife’s caretaker (final dinner before she went to another job/position), and I got the chance to brag about all of the wonderful qualities of Lloyd when we were working together. I was so glad I had that chance to see him.
I hope you take comfort in knowing how much he was appreciated at Deere, he set the example for professional, caring technical leadership. Please take care.

My sincere condolences on the passing of Lloyd. I worked with him at Deere Harvester Engineering for several years, supporting the great work he did.  He was a tower of knowledge in the field on computer simulation and engineering analysis.  I always appreciated Lloyd's cool, calm, level headed thinking on any topic we discussed.  He was a colleague but I also considered him a friend.  May he enjoy the rewards of an everlasting life in the hands of our Lord along with his wife Dorothy.

Lloyd was such a wonderful Christian gentleman. You were blessed to have him as your father.

My deepest condolences to Lloyd’s family. He was my mentor while working with FEA in some projects with Harvester Works. I will always remember And be thankful for his kindness, his patience, his stories and sense of humor. In my prayers.

My sympathies to Lloyd's family.   I met Lloyd when I moved next door to him about 10 years ago, and so appreciated his gentle personality and humor.  I remember one evening after 9 working at my computer, which faced the front of the house, and who should appear at my window but Lloyd!  He told me I should come out because the moon was especially bright and beautiful that evening.  I did, and we both stood there looking at the moon.   I have missed seeing him, will miss him, and I hope it is a comfort to the family to know he is in a better place.   Patricia

Lloyd was a pioneer in developing structural analysis at John Deere.   During my early career he was both a mentor and a friend. As a fellow Christian I know he is in a better place now...no doubt talking to God about engineering mysteries.

My deepest sympathy at your loss of Lloyd.  I also worked with him at John Deere.  He was a great engineer, an even better friend, and a mentor for me.  I hope God's guarantee of eternal life through faith in His Son Jesus will comfort you in your loss.

My deepest condolences to the Lloyd Fox family.  Lloyd was a true friend that I had the privilege to work with at John Deere.    We worked together thru the years in numerous engineering projects.  Lloyd and his wife Dorothy were the perfect and loving couple.  We would get together with them and friends  around Christmas time to share a dinner and exchange stories.
I will always miss Lloyd and his kind words and advice.

Lloyd Fox was a very close friend. We worked together over twenty years in the technical field of engineering analysis of combines.

Whenever I returned to the quad cities after retirement I would stop and visit with him. He was always a very decent and strong Christian man.

I wanted to extend my sincere sympathy to Lloyd's family.   Lloyd was a true pioneer in finite element structural analysis at John Deere.  I had the privilege of working with Lloyd on several projects including one where a multibody dynamics model of a combine provided dynamic loads as input to a finite element model.  Lloyd was a consummate engineer and one of the kindest and friendliest people I've ever known.  Lloyd will be missed by all who knew him.
