Linda Lee Ruffner

A celebration of life will be held in Linda’s honor from 3:00 to 5:00 on Sunday, July 2, at the Runge Mortuary in Davenport, Iowa. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortary.com.

Linda was born on November 20, 1954 in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, to Ronald and Lorraine Axe. Linda attended Blairsville High School. Following high school, she married Paul Ruffner and for the 18 years they were married she was a homemaker. After the kids were grown she went on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Linda then moved to Iowa to be closer to family, where she worked at Genesis Medical Center from 2003-2016. She retired in 2016.

Linda enjoyed going to the gym and going for walks through her neighborhood. Her favorite pastime was talking to and spending time with her 12 grandchildren that she loved so dearly.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children and their spouses, Paul Ruffner, Spanish Fort, AL, Dan (Beth) Ruffner, DeWitt, IA, Brian (Bianca) Ruffner, Fairhope, AL, and Kristi Ruffner (John Ghilardi), Eldridge, IA; grandchildren, Olivia, Emma, Makaela, Bryce, Jadyn, Hudson, Payton, Emersyn, Cullen, Donovan, Dalton, and Claire; along with several nieces and nephews.

Linda is preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine; father, Ronald; brother, Randy; and sister, Karen.
