Larry A. Crane, Sr., 59, of Davenport passed away peacefully at his home on July 18, 2013. Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 2:30 pm at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Larry was born July 16, 1954 in Davenport, the son of Arthur D. and Vivian (Nagel) Crane. He was united in marriage to Laurie (Waller) on June 19, 1976 in Davenport. He later married Roberta Chamberlin on June 28, 2008.
He served in the US Navy and retired from the Radisson Hotel. Prior to his retirement he drove for a variety of companies.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, the Green Bay Packers, Facebooking, playing the drums and the military channel. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved dirt-track racing. He also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family and friends as well as listening to music, singing and dancing.
Those celebrating his life include his first wife, Laurie; second wife, Roberta; children: Gregory (Becky) Crane, Sr.; Michelle (Steve Jr.) Cox; Brandi Crane; Larry Crane, Jr.; Debbi Crane; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; stepchildren: Rebecca(Frankie) Chehak Feldpausch-Sird; Gary Chamberlin; Kayla and Kristina Chamberlin; three step-grandchildren; siblings: Mary and Gary along with several special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.
