Kristin Kay Schwarz

Kristin Kay Schwarz 52, of Davenport passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf after a very courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be Friday, April 11, 2014 from 3 to 7 pm at the Runge Mortuary and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 10:00 am at The Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in the Summit Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to QC Rowing Association or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com. She was born in Davenport, IA, on January 4, 1962, to the late Lora Jean (Ott) and John Del Baughman. Kristin graduated from North Scott High School in 1980 and Hawkeye Institute of Technology in 1982. Kristin married Tim Schwarz on July 23, 1982. Kristin was a loving Mother and devoted wife. Kristin loved biking, hiking, rock climbing and long boat rowing. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She loved spending time with her devoted friends at the Quad City Rowing Association and Girls Club. Kristin was a talented Graphic Artist and partner in the GunterSchwarz Advertising firm in Moline, Illinois. She donated her time to many community projects including the River City Music Experience. Those left to honor Kristin’s memory are her two children; John Schwarz (Sara Hamby) and Adam Schwarz (Dallas Puls) both of Davenport. She is also survived by her sisters Denise Westman (Don), Tonka Bay, MN, Michelle Allaman (Chuck) Cortland, OH, Tracy Welch (Jim) Long Grove, IA, and brother Tim Baughman, Los Angeles, CA, Aunt Leann Graves (Joe) Iowa City, IA, sister- in- law Val Baughman , Davenport, Iowa and many loved sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces and other family and friends. Her brother Matthew Baughman (Val) preceded her in death.
