Kinsey Jean Hicks entered the world on June 11, 1999 in Rock Island, IL. She had striking dark hair, beautiful blue eyes and a perfect little nose. She was loved by all who knew her, especially her Father, Rodney, Mother Janece, and her big brother, Dylan. She loved singing, going on outdoor adventures with her fiancé Ryan Loyd, and spending time with her friends and large, extended family. This perfect little girl grew into a beautiful young woman who loved her own children, Harrison and Martha, with the deep love nurtured in her own life. A 2017 graduate of Bettendorf High School, she sang soprano in Concert Choir and had an active social life. Kinsey was very involved in the Bettendorf Christian Church youth group and its praise and worship team. One highlight of her experience with the worship team was when she served on a mission trip to Honduras in 2017. She was called to serve again in 2019 in Ukraine. Her passion for helping those in need was a defining trait of Kinsey’s - one that was apparent to those who knew her.
Kinsey leaves behind her two children, Harrison and Martha, her loving fiancé, Ryan, her parents Rodney and Janece, her brother Dylan and his wife Zeynep, her grandfather Homer, Ryan’s parents Jason and Catherine, Ryan’s grandparents Tony and Lynn, Becky and Bill, special friend Rebekah and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Jim and Betty, and grandmother Margaret.
Although her time on Earth was short, her impact in the lives of all who knew her will be felt for many, many years.
