Kenneth Raley, Jr, 62, of Davenport passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Genesis East Medical Center. A joint celebration of life for him and his wife Faith will be held at a later date at The Runge Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Kenneth was born November 28, 1958 in Oskaloosa, IA. He was the son of Kenneth Earl Sr and Dorothy Ruth (Lamb) Raley. He married Faith Goodman on September 1, 1994 in Davenport. She preceded him in death on April 26, 2020.
He had worked for 36 years for the City of Davenport in the Public Works Department prior to retiring. He enjoyed Star Trek and was Chief Security of the USS Winfield Scott. He enjoyed stock car races, vintage cars, bowling, baseball, football, old movies and car shows. He was also an animal lover. Kenneth was always willing to help others in any way and will be greatly missed!
Those left to honor his memory include his children, Latonya “Tony” (John) Alcala, Davenport and Kristy (Gary) Anderson, Davenport, grandsons, RJ and Christopher Anderson, mother-in-law, Donna Goodman, Pleasant Valley, childhood friend, Ken Kosgard, special friend Charlotte Barnes and aunts: Marlene (Kenny) VanKooten, Shirley Raley and Sharon Raley.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joel and Golda (Morrow) Lamb and paternal grandparents, Samuel and Nellie (Kimes) Raley.
