She was born on July 5, 1947 to Ezekiel and Katherine (Mueller) Atkinson in Davenport, IA. She worked as a phlebotomist before becoming an insurance examiner. She loved her job, traveling, and meeting new people along the way.
Kathleen, also known as “Red”, loved her family, spending time with them and catching up with old classmates, especially at reunions. She had a strange sense of humor but was straightforward and always told the truth. She liked to watch people doing the things they loved the most. Kathleen enjoyed tending to and planting flowers, spoiling her animals, collecting pigs, and listening to live music such as The Night People. When she wasn’t busy moving around she liked to sit down and play computer games.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Stanton Schneider and Jesse Pearce; grandchildren: Alex Schneider, Adriana Morgan, Cayden Schneider, Chase Morgan and Allison Pearce; and brother, Richard (Barbara) Atkinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Kenny,Jim and Marion.
