Services will be Friday, May 31, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the Community of Christ Church in Davenport. Visitation will be Thursday, May 30 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at The Runge Mortuary. Her final resting place will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Jesus Adventure Club or to the church.
Karla was born on June 9, 1953, in Davenport. She was the daughter of Richard and Edna L. (Richardson) Rasmussen. She married Richard E. "Rick" Enright on September 7, 1974, in Bettendorf.
Karla was a graduate of Bettendorf High School, and she attended Graceland University.
She retired from the Bettendorf School District where she served as a para legal aide at Grant Wood Elementary. She loved to play the organ and piano, and taught lessons to many. She also loved to go walking, swimming, and enjoying the sunsets in Door County, WI. Karla's weekly retreat was baking on the weekends and sharing her baked goods. Her greatest joy however was spending time with her grandchildren and her son while attending their soccer games and other sporting events.
Karla was a life-long learner of connecting people within the church and her community.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 50 years, Rick; son, Michael (Sommer) Enright, St. O'Fallon, MO; grandchildren: Olivia, Owen, and Oxley Enright; sister: Laurie (Bob) Zabloudil, Gahanna, OH; foster sister, Debbie (Tom) Litts, Ocean Shores, WA; mother-in-law, Etta Enright; and brother-in-law, Larry Goettsch, Donahue, IA.
Her parents and sister, Doralynn Goettsch preceded her in death.
