Karen J. Crosby

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will start at 10:00am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.

Karen was born September 13, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa to Ray and Gladys (Zabel) Baetke. She was united in marriage to Verne Crosby on June 19, 1960 in Davenport. Karen retired from the Davenport Lutheran Home as a CNA after many years of dedicated service.

She was a devoted Christian woman, was an active member of the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church in Moline, Illinois, and ran fellowship along side her husband for over 20 years. She was always smiling, she loved to cook, and gave more than she ever received.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Verne; children, Duane Crosby of Davenport, IA, Robin (Robert) Chavez of Poplar Grove, IL, and Darin (Kim) Crosby of LeClaire, IA; sister, Cindy Baetke of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Cody Schatz, Logan Schatz, Brady Crosby, and Maddi Crosby; and great-grandchildren, Nash Schatz and Jett Schatz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Renee Crosby; and brothers, Rondo Baetke and Marlo Baetke
