Karen A. Cooper, 70, of Davenport, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 6, 2011. Funeral services will be held in the Runge Mortuary Chapel at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 12, 2011. Mrs. Cooper was born September 4, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Maron and Florence (Jones) Baber. She married Harvey Lee Scharer in 1961. Later, she married Raymond Cooper in Davenport in 1973,who preceded her in death. For over twenty years she was employed by Da-Mar in Rock Island. Later, she was employed by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 25 as a Benefits Co-ordinator until her retirement. A devoted mother, she is survived by her children: Robert, Paul, Christopher, and Angie; grandchildren: Adam and Madison; and brothers: Joseph, Earl, and Victor.
