Judy A. Burke, 79, of Davenport, Iowa passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Clarissa C Cook Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer. A memorial service to honor her will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 11am at Weerts Funeral Home with a time of sharing to follow. Memorials in Judy’s name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Judy was born on March 16, 1943 to Paul and Margaret Lesage in Moline, Illinois. She was a proud 1961 graduate of Alleman High School. Judy was united in marriage to Ed Burke on April 18, 1964. She worked as a civilian program analyst at the Rock Island Arsenal for 23 years before she retired. Judy loved to travel; she visited a vast majority of the United States and even traveled to China. She was very talented at crochet and always had a project that she was working on. Judy loved being a mom and especially a grandma.
Those left to honor her memory are her husband of 58 years, Ed; children Dan (Julie) Burke, Kelly (Randy) Witcraft, and Vince (Jenny) Burke; grandchildren: Alec, Maggie, Ryan, Vincent, and Anna; siblings Betty Hazen and Mike Lesage; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandson Colin Witcraft, her parents, and siblings Pat Parker, Irene Zeitler, Melanie Diederich, and Dick Lesage.
