Joshua L. Hamann, 44, of Davenport, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Family will greet friends at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Weerts Funeral Home. Josh was born on January 18, 1979 in Davenport to Donald and Diane (Walker) Hamann. He graduated from North Scott High School in 1997. Josh worked as an over the road truck driver for over 20 years. He had an evolution of hobbies and interests, ranging from tractor pulls to stock car racing. He also enjoyed mountain biking, gardening, playing the guitar, and fixing things. He loved his nephews and enjoyed being their uncle.
Survivors include his mother; sister, Cara Hamann (Brian Abbott) of Iowa City; two nephews, Arlo and Hugo; aunt Denise Armstrong; uncles Bruce (Cindy) Walker and Brian (Jenn) Walker; and nine cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
