John Michael Thiemann, 68, of Geneseo, formerly of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in Geneseo. Per his request, cremation rites will be accorded. There will not be services at this time. Online condolences can be left at rungemortuary.com.
John was born in Davenport on December 1, 1954. He was the son of Robert and Jean (Cauldfield) Thiemann. He married Amy Lynn Curtis on August 4, 2022 in Davenport.
He worked 14 years as a welder at Sears Manufacturing in Davenport and then went to work for DNS (Deines-Nitz Solutions) retiring in 2022.
He loved dirt-track racing and being outdoors.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Amy Heiden, Geneseo, daughter, Elizabeth Thiemann, son, Robert Thiemann, several grandchildren, sisters, Teresa Thiemann, AZ and Mary Thiemann, Milan, IL, niece, Dee Thiemann and his beloved cat, “catdog.”
His parents preceded him in death.
