John J. Ross, 77, of Davenport died Monday, January 16, 2012 at Genesis West Medical Center, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Per John’s wishes, cremation rites were accorded. A private celebration of his life will take place. Online condolences may be left at www.therungemortuary.com
John was born February 16, 1934 in Mystic, Iowa. He retired from Oscar Mayer after thirty-nine years of service. He was a die-hard Hawkeye and Cubs fan.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife of fifty-five years, Karen; children and spouses: Pam (Chris) Bupp; Kathy (Ted) Parrelly; Tom (Erin) Ross, eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and brothers, Bob (Joyce) Ross and LeRoy Feldhahn. His mother, Sadie Cutler Feldhahn and a sister, Delores Telsrow preceded him in death.
