Jeffrey “Jeff” L. Williams, 67, Bettendorf, IA passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Genesis East Medical Center. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Calvary Church, Moline, IL. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Calvary Church or to the family to purchase memorial benches at Oak Run Golf Course where he had his last hole in 1 on hole 5 at Oak Run in 2021. Jeff was born June 17, 1954 in Moline, IL to Lewis & Patricia Williams. He graduated from United Township High in 1972, then attended Blackhawk College, and General Motors Institute, Detroit. Jeff owned and operated Williams Buick GMC until 1999. He also owned and operated St. Andrews Golf Course, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Jeff was a main sponsor of the Quad City Airshow for many years; he even got to fly with the Blue Angels. Jeff participated in ProAm at the John Deere Classic for many years. Since his retirement in 2015, he has enjoyed golfing, boating, and fishing at Oak Run, going to the casino, and playing Tripoli on Sunday nights with family.
Survivors include his loving wife, Tammy; children, Daniel (Neoma) Williams of Des Moines, Adam (Brittany) Williams of Seattle, Jacob Williams of Iowa City; stepsons, Christopher Engelbrecht and Nickolas (Jessie) Engelbrecht both of the Quad Cities; five grandchildren, Olivia, Ali, Isaac, Mia and Sophie; best friend/brother, Jim (Kelly) Williams; sisters, Nancy (Steve) Spohn and Rhonda (Morris) Buchanan; many nieces and nephews and dog, Max.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a very special nephew, Alex Williams and brother in law Bob Jurevitz.
