Jeanne M. Hintz, 92, of Davenport, Iowa; passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at her home. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 9 - 10 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Funeral service will begin at 10am. The family kindly requests that those in attendance please wear a mask during the visitation and service. Private burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park following the service. Memorials in Jeanne’s memory may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Jeanne was born on November 19, 1928 to Max and Margaret Kuster in Kewanee, Illinois. She was united in marriage to Howard Hintz on September 11, 1949; he preceded her in death on December 14, 2013. Jeanne was a long time member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She was known as “the Bike Lady” because she rode her bike to work at Palmer College every day even in inclement weather for 20 years. Jeanne loved to play solitaire and in her later years coloring.
Those left to honor her memory are her daughters: Nancy Kronfeldt and family, Janet (James) Konrad, Rita (Chris) Tecmire, and Dianne (Brian) Hirl; son Michael (Gail) Hintz; grandchildren Heather (Dan) Knudson, Melissa (Michael) West, Chad (Jamie) Konrad, Adam (Kristy) Hintz, and Christopher Ullsmith; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 4 sisters.
